NEW INSTRUCTIONS 6/oct/2017 follow this!

1. Copied both the “TypeX_Assets folder” and “Typex_v1.4.27” jxbin file in Script UI folder.
2. Opened TypeX_VOL.05_Presets.aep file.
3. Edit-Preference-click the “reveal preference in explorer”
4. Copy prefs.txt to desktop and to do this, Open after effects : Go to Edit-Preferences – General Then click on Revel Preferences in Explorer (its on the bottom of the after effects preference window)
4. Paste this code from monter4 ( in the Prefs.txt you just copied)

“buyer_20233979” = “Monter”
“created_at_20233979” = “Monter”
“item_name_20233979” = “Monter”
“licence_20233979” = “Monter”
“reg_status_20233979” = “1”

5. Save it and after set atribute this file to “Read only”
6. Replace the original one. ( means copy the same Prefs.txt you just edited and paste it there from where you copied it)
7. Exit after effects.

Win: regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Adobe/CSXS.6,(do to all…5 6 7 8) then add a new entry PlayerDebugMode of type “string” with the value of “1”.
Mac: In the terminal, type: defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.6 (do to all…5 6 7 8) PlayerDebugMode 1 (The plist is also located at /Users/USERNAME/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.CSXS.6.plist)

Then run After Effects and use the script.

You have to copy “TypeX_Assets” folder in Adobe After Effects “Script UI” folder. Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC[x]\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels

1.Open after effects : Go to Edit-Preferences – General Then click on Revel Preferences in Explorer (its on the bottom of the after effects preference window)

NEW:

Make a copy of the Prefs.txt, paste on desktop..open it and add code at the very bottom close and save..now delete the original prefs.txt and place the new modified one in its place..open this text file and leave open, open after effects and open script..it should be working..both can be closed now..Wind 10 ae 2017

          why are you creating a new prefs :S read the instructions again you didnt it follow properly :/ i told you to Edit the prefs not to delete it. read again it will work

          problem is with all of the copied quotation marks (“) brother when you copied and pasted in pref.txt try to delete the copied quotation marks and manually type all quotation and saved it.

    hey there. I am using AE 14.2 and I had the same problem that all the other people mentioned. and NO, I didn’t do it wrong, mate. But then I saw that you told someone to make the Prefs file “read only”. So it does work when you make it read only. BUT… yes there is a but … when opening AE the program itself pops up an error saying that it couldn’t execute a line in the Prefs file. Unfortunately, I don’t know what this is for and what the line does, but it doesn’t sound alright to me. If I figure out I’ll give you an update towards what problem(s) it caused.

      its getting more and more common now. for most people it works and for some it doesnt. I dont know why but it works for most of the people and doesnt for work some. I dont know how can i help you.

    1) open the Adobe After Effects 13.7 Preferences file
    2) put the code and save
    3) Right-click and go to Preferences and leave it as read-only.
    4) Open the project and you will see the error and close the window
    5) after this you will see that the project has closed and the TYPEX window always remains open, reopen the project and start editing. if you did not give it repeat the process … I swear to everyone.

      i do exactly as you said. however when i open the script penal is fine but the moment i move mouse to work with it . its disabling and unable to do anything with it.

            press win logo button + R button on your keyboard and then a box will popup. in that box write regedit and from there follow what the instructions say. it says first click on HKEY_CURRENT+USEr etc. then add a registry there. if you dont know how to, then google it. it will work fine.

    Hello folks, I was trying to figure out this solution for a while. It seems as though the reason why it is not working for many is because the code provided above in the steps has TYPOGRAPHIC quotation marks (the curly fancy ones) .txt documents should contain basic ASCII ” ” marks instead – here I edited the code so you can copy and paste it then follow all the instructions he provided in the updated steps. This should fix the “[“Settings_RoyalFX_TypeX”]. (21::31)” Error code some people are getting

    Solo como comentario por si a alguien le sirve.
    A mi no me funcionaba con las instrucciones, hasta que se me ocurrió: En lugar de solo guardar el archivo “Adobe After Effects 15.0 Prefs”, lo que hice fue “guardar como” y reemplazarlo con la ventana que aparece al dar click en esa opción. Ahora ya funciona, ya no pide “purchase”.

    Unfortunately I can not make the script running. I am using After Effects 18. I followed all of the instructions. But still when I open AE I get the message “After Effects error: preferences “Adobe After Effects 15.1 Prefs.txt” contains an unexpected value on line 1293, [“Settings_RoyalFX_TypeX”}. (21:: 31). And the old “Adobe After Effects 15.1 Prefs” file will be restored. I will keep working to solve the problem, but maybe someone has an idea to crack the nut.
